Round-the-clock exercising will be available next week when PureGym opens at The Broad Street Plaza.
It is currently open for viewings and the public start pumping the iron from 5 pm next Thursday (Sept 13).
Twenty jobs have been created and while gym staff will be on site from 6 am to 10 pm there will also be a first-aider on duty 24/7.
The facilities will also be monitored on CCTV at a security centre.
General manager Richard Annetts said it was a huge gym covering 26,000 sq ft and nearly 250 pieces of equipment.
“It’s the biggest gym in Halifax by far,” he said.
A separate studio space will be used for classes such as zumba, circuit and yoga.
Mr Annetts, of Northowram, previously opened PureGyms in Aberdeen and Manchester and said the company had been built-up by offering low-prices.
There is currently an £10.99 per month pre-opening offer with a £15 joining fee which rises to £17.99 and £25.
“The gym will absolutely take off. People are always interested in the price and then when they see the facilities they are impressed,” said Mr Annetts.
The plaza car park has yet to open and no decision has been taken on charges.
