Halifax rugby players Ben Black and Frank Watene are supporting efforts to promote the digital Switchover Help Scheme.
With only weeks to go to the switchover, people are being urged to consider those who might need help in switching over to digital.
Halifax RLFC is backing the Switchover Help Scheme’s “Helping Hand” campaign for eligible older and disabled people who need help to convert TV sets.
The Emley Moor transmitter group serving Calderdale will begin to switch to digital on September 7.
Eligible people have been posted a Help Scheme information pack explaining the offer and will be getting a follow-up reminder letter.
People eligible for help include those aged over 75 or over and others with disabilities.
The Switchover Help Scheme is run by the BBC through an agreement with the Government to help older and disabled people.
