A Halifax company has set its sights on doubling turnover to £1 million within two years.

Shrewdd Marketing, of Harrison Road, is now settled in offices which have been completely renovated with the original features restored.

Managing director Alf Lombardi said new staff will be starting in September as the company continues to grow. It will be seeking new opportunities and expanding its geographical reach.

“Most of our customers are based in Yorkshire and we now want to expand outside of the region,” said Mr Lombardi.

Shrewdd offers a package of services and does a lot of work supporting companies with their international marketing - PR, advertising, search engine optimization and email marketing.

The business recently won a Public Relations Consultants Association award for a campaign on behalf of a client.

Surprisingly, marketing has remained buoyant during the most recent recession.

Mr Lombardi said that had not been the case previously when marketing budgets were among the first to be cut.

“This time, people are still promoting their products and services,” said Mr Lombardi.

But, they wanted value for money and kept a keen eye on prices. That, said Mr Lombardi, was an advantage to Shrewdd which was ideally located between Leeds and Manchester and offered services which would be very competitive compared to big city competitors.

“We are committed to Halifax with the investment we have made,” he said.
