Business Enterprise students Hannah Mitchell, of Golcar and Charlotte Anderton, of Elland, both 17, won £5,000 to kick start a new Enterprise Society at Kirklees College.
The pair travelled to London to pitch for the prize which will be used for the new Phoenix Enterprise Society, an internal group set up to help fund and start-up student businesses.
The day was led by NACUE (The National Association of College & University Entrepreneurs) a central funding unit that holds the pot of money for Universities and College enterprise societies to bid for.
College spokeswoman Lydia Butterworth said: “I am proud of Charlotte and Hannah. This money is going to help fund Kirklees College students in setting up their own businesses and providing events and opportunities for the whole college.”
