A Todmorden bar has closed after just over a year - but there are hopes it could be up and running again soon.
The Bramsche, Rochdale Road, Todmorden, opened in December 2011 but owner David Cooper called time on the business on January 2.
Mr Cooper, who also runs a music public relations company and a record label, aimed to offer another option for townspeople with live music ranging from rock to jazz, storytelling sessions and film screenings.
He said the biggest problem had been juggling running the bar with his other, Manchester-based businesses and something had to give. He said: “I just wasn’t enjoying it and as we would’ve had to close for a few weeks for some structural work to be completed inside I decided to close it. But I am hoping to lease it and there has been a flurry of interest in it from people who run businesses in Todmorden. My biggest regret is the fantastic staff but some of them have already got other jobs,” he said.
