Tips on how to access fast-growing export markets including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Eastern Europe were unveiled to Yorkshire businesses at a major We Are International Export Network event.

As part of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, which includes Halifax, the event at Deloittes in Leeds was attended by more than 80 novice exporters and included speakers from The British Polish Chamber of Commerce, Saudi British Joint Business Council and British Chamber of Commerce, Turkey.

Chief executive of British Romanian Chamber of Commerce, Richard Reese, said: “For trading with Eastern Europe, the UK is not as good at picking the low hanging fruit as France, Germany and Italy. This needs to be corrected.”
