Calder Valley Search and Rescue pair picked to run with Olympic torch

Two life-saving volunteers will be swapping their search torches for Olympic torches in June.

Matthew Greaves and Pete Bradley from Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team have been nominated to carry the torch on its way to the London event.

Pete, 38 and of Blackshaw Head, works for Morrisons and Matthew, 32 and of Birkby, works for Boots in the firm’s head office.

Both were nominated by their employers because of the their community work as members of the Calder Valley Search and Rescue team.

Matthew will be running with the torch at Reedsholme near Rawtenstall and Pete will be running near Wakefield.
