Hundreds are expected to attend a St Patrick’s Day march in Halifax, this Sunday.
The march will start from the Irish Centre, West Parade, Halifax, at 1pm, March 17.
The parade will make its way through Halifax town centre; passing through Broad Street, Halifax and past the town hall, eventually returning to the Irish Centre for further St Patrick celebrations.
Prior to the march, participants are expected to attend St Mary’s, Gibbet Street, Halifax, for a special St Patrick’s Sunday service at 11am where the mayor and mayoress of Calderdale will be present.
Celebrations have already commenced. Today, members of the Irish society met for their monthly Irish luncheon.
