Emmerdale actor Jason Merrells dropped in on a Halifax primary school to show drama students how to cut it.
Year five and six pupils at Beech Hill Primary School were given acting directions by the professional English actor best known for TV roles in: Casualty; Cutting It; Waterloo Road; and Emmerdale.
In an afternoon drama class, Mr Merrells observed the group’s version of Funny Biscuits - a humorous performance about the relationship between a teacher and her pupils.
Actor Jason Merrells said: “It’s been great to visit the school for the afternoon - I’ve tried to give them some helpful acting advice which will enhance their performance. The students demonstrated good acting potential.
“It’s great to see a dedicated drama class in a primary school - it’s not something I had when I was at school.”
Beech Hill drama students and are performing in aid of Sport Relief - a BBC Sport charity fundraising event.
Beech Hill drama teacher Christabel Grasby said: “The children are working on Funny Biscuits film. The theme of baking for charity is very topical at the moment.
“To achieve a more professional performance I asked Jason to come and give the children some directions. Jason has passed on some beneficial acting skills which have really brought the children’s characters’ to life.
“His has really motivated and inspired the children.”
Jason Merrells, 45, played receptionist Matt Hawley in Casualty, stylist Gavin Ferraday in Cutting It, head master Jack Rimmer in Waterloo Road and Declan Macey in Emmerdale.
