A specially-made stone bike has raised £1,500 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance after being raffled off.

The model was made by Ripponden firm BD Brooks Stonemasons before this summer’s Grand Depart.

The bike was won by Mr and Mrs Bennicke from Warrington.

Fiona Brooks, from BD Brooks Stonemasons, said: “Mr Bennicke was a Tour Maker for the Tour de France and his sons are keen cyclists and the bicycle will take pride of place in their garden.

“They also said they would bring a cheque for £150.00 to make the total raised £1,500.”
