A nine year old boy’s love for his dad and his hero has shon through in a Halifax Courier led competition.

Adam Robinson, an Elland C of E School pupil, won the ‘My Dad, My Hero’ after his hand-drawn picture of his dad, Martin Nee, was voted the best by readers.

The prize was a Father’s Day gift of a watch, worth £325.

Pauline Robinson, Adam’s mum, said: “Adam was shocked when he won the watch for his dad for Father’s Day, as it came as a nice surprise for his dad.

“He worked so hard and I am proud of him.”
