Ex-rugby league player Johnny Lawless will be running the second annual Sidfit event at Siddal Amateur Rugby League Club on Saturday, June 14.

The event will feature people taking on a sponsored bike ride, 10k run or walk, an inflatable assault course for children and an all-star rugby match.

The all-star team will play against Siddal and features ex-professional players including Des Clark, Dean Sampson, Luke Robinson and Liam Finn.

Johnny said: “Over the past few years, we’ve lost a two players at Siddal through suicide and we’re trying to raise funds to build a toddlers’ park as a memorial and raise awareness of health issues.”

The all-star game is £2.50 in, and kicks off at 3.15pm at Siddal ARLFC.
