Across the UK items included a prenuptial agreement, deeds to a £2 million house, and a pet tarantula.
The most comment possessions left include mobile phones and chargers, laptops/tablets/kindles, pyjamas and teddy bears.
Travelodge has 500 UK hotels and over 16 million overnight guests annually.
Spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed said: “Our 2013 left behind register also reveals how much smart tecnology has became part of our everyday lives, as we have had nearly 10,000 tablets and smartphones left behind.
“This is a significant increase from previous years.”
Unclaimed items are donated to local charity shops after three months.
