At the latest meeting of the Bronte Group, a small group of local WIs, held at St Paul’s Church, Sowerby Bridge, some of the ladies from Shibden WI had their photo taken with the Centenary Baton.

It is travelling across the country to every Federation, celebrating 100 years of Women’s Institutes in Britain, having started its journey in Anglesey, where it all began. It will end its journey at the national AGM in The Royal Albert Hall in June 2015 .

Pictured holding the baton are Sue Plant and Judy Nicholson.
