Child-friendly New Year’s celebrations in Rastrick and Halifax

Field Lane Sure Start Centre 's New Year's Eve party.

Field Lane Sure Start Centre 's New Year's Eve party.

These little ones started 2013 early with celebrations before their bedtimes.

Children were invited to see in the New Year 12 hours early with an afternoon party at Field Lane Sure Start Centre at Burnsall Road in Rastrick.

There was party food and games as well as craft activities for the youngsters to enjoy.

There were also early celebrations at Eureka in Halifax.

The museum hosted a child-friendly party, starting at the stroke of midday.

There will be more partying at Eureka on Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 when the museum will be using Robert Burn’s birthday weekend to celebrate Scottish culture with dance, craft, storytelling and a hunt to find the Loch Ness monster.
