Calderdale Council is looking for your opinions on your local area as part of the scheme to rebrand the borough - and you could win an iPad for your troubles.

As revealed in last week’s Courier the council has hired marketing firm Heavenly to produce a consistent brand and image of Calderdale in order to maximise the benefits of hosting the Tour de France.

Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for the Economy and Environment, Coun Barry Collins said: “The survey is about Calderdale, this beautiful, quirky, unique place of individual towns where we live, work and spend our leisure time.

“For far too long it’s been a hidden gem; we know it’s great but we need to let everyone else into the secret! The Tour de France next July has given us a golden opportunity to let the world know about what makes us special.

“Tell us what you love about the area so that we can promote Calderdale in a way which rings true. I’m looking forward to hearing your views.

“You can take part anonymously so please feel free to be honest. “You also have the chance to win an iPad mini.”

You can see the survey below and this can be completed online at www.calderdale.gov.uk/council/consultations/what-do-you-think or you can cut out the survey below and return it to the Halifax Courier, King Cross Street, Halifax, HX1 2SF.

Deadline for entries is Tuesday 31 December 2013.
