Sowerby Bridge High School celebrates its annual United Colours Day

Sowerby Bridge High School, Sowerby Bridge, celebrated what the school said was its most successful annual United Colours Day.

Students and staff celebrated world cultures that make up the school’s diverse population - of 40 nationalities and 32 spoken languages.

Children learnt Chinese, produced movies based on the nationalities in the World Cup 2014, enjoyed world foods and traditional dance in a guitar session from two of the school’s Roma staff. Co-ordinator Phil Brook said: “The biggest and best day yet, we were reminded again just how well our diverse population get along.”
