Pupils at Elland C of E Junior and Infant School have had their horizons broadened recently by making links with a school in the Republic of the Gambia, West Africa.

Children at Bakoteh Proper Lower Basic School in Gambia have been sharing experiences about life in West Africa and have been writing letters to Elland pupils about their recent recycling project.

“It gives the children a different perspecive on the world,” said headteacher Wendy Holdsworth.
