Dogs were crowned for their waggy tails, looking most like their owner and being the best puppy as part of an animal roadshow held at the Causeway Foot Inn, Ogden.
A fun dog show was had as part of the day – attended by around 500 people - which also included cake stalls and games as well as a West Yorkshire Police Dog demonstration.
The voluntary led day was hosted by organisers of Canine Care, Clive and Marjorie Black, while Matt Catlow of Halifax’s Positive Pooches put on an agility ring for the animals.
Clive said: “It was a fun dog show so there were categories such as the dog with the waggiest tail and the dog which looks most like its owner, the most obedient dog, the best child handler, the best puppy.
“It was fun rather than very, very serious.”
Proceeds from the day will go towards rescuing more dogs and cats under Canine Care.
