Hannah Cockroft missed out on being named Disability Sportsperson of the Year at the Sunday Times and Sky Sports awards ceremony at Sky Studios in London.
The 20-year-old, from Mount Tabor, was up against Sophie Hahn and Eleanor Simmonds in the category but eventually losing out to Amy Marren - a 15-year-old swimmer Amy Marren, who won four gold medals and two silvers at the IPC Swimming World Championships in Montreal.
Miss Marren said: “This award is such a shock. Looking up there at the screen, you can see that it’s such a tough category. I am a bit shocked. I owe my parents, my coaches and my school so much gratitude. My school is fantastic and my coach, well, he simply puts up with me I suppose.”
The awards keep coming fro Hannah and she now heads into the BBC Sports Personality of the Year on Sunday December 15.
Christine Ohuruogu won the overall award for sportswoman of the year after she became the first British woman to claim a second world title when she won the 400m final in Moscow this August.
