Welcome to another busy day across the district.
Today we’ll be covering a whole range of your events - but, as always, if something is happening near you please tell us all about it.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service are training staff in the use of defibrillators installed at the Brighouse High School in support of a UK campaign to make lifesaving defibrillators available in all schools. Our photographer will be there.
We’ll also be in Mill Bank for the launch of a new fundraising calendar and staff at Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge have decorated their premises with lanterns for the forthcoming Valley of Lights festival- catch Friday’s Courier for all the details.
We’ll also be reflecting on the debate at Calderdale Council’s cabinet meeting last night where among the many items on the agenda was the latest on the redevelopment of Halifax Central Library. Give us your reaction to this - and any other issue you want to get off your chest.
Later this week it’s Children in Need day. These youngsters at Brooksbank School, Elland, have already been doing their bit for Friday’s appeal day with a car wash for charity - and the picture of their fundraising efforts was very kindly emailed to us by Sarah Pearce.
Tell us what you are doing for Children in Need - or any other charity - and send us your pictures.
If it’s happening in Calderdale we really want you to get in touch. Send us your stories and send us your pictures so we can share your news, views, arts, entertainments and sport with the rest of our readers.
Email us: firstname.lastname@example.org, send us a Tweet via @HxCourier on Twitter, post a Facebook message or comment through our website www.halifaxcourier.co.uk
And have a great day
