Double paralympic gold medal winner Hannah Cockroft has already proved she is a first class athlete - and now she has a SECOND golden post box to prove it.

The Royal Mail this week painted a second post box in Halifax gold to put a stamp of honour on her remarkable achievement.

It will be on Mount Tabor Road, close to The New Inn, near Hannah’s family home.

Plans were already in place for the golden girl’s first post box, which is outside Halifax Town Hall, but her double success means that they had to confirm the location with Hannah.

Suggested sites had included Woolshops, in Halifax Town Centre, and at her training base in Wakefield, but the 20-year-old has elected to have the post box nearest to her home transformed.

Hannah lit up the London 2012 Paralympic Games when she blew away all competitors in the T34 100m and 200m.

She was welcomed home by neighbours who decorated the street and a formal civic reception last Thursday.
