Visit to The Maltings College

Educational researches from the Hokkaido University, Japan, visited The Maltings College, Wheatley, Halifax, as part of an academic exchange programme through the University of Leeds.

They visited the vehicle workshop, private day nursery and trainee chefs. Pictured are (left to right), Prof Toshiro Yokoi, Prof Yoichi Anezaki, Chef tutor Matthew Darwin-Anderson, trainee chef Carl Pallister and Rie Yokozeki. Prof Anezaki said: “It is great to see how The Maltings College has embedded lead industry partners into their vocational course provision. This visit has given me a unique opportunity and something I will take back to my education system.”
