A man has died after a fire at Fernfield Terrace, Boothtown, on Friday evening.
Fire crews from Halifax and Elland attended at the blaze at around 8pm.
Calderdale CID and fire investigators have been searching for the cause of the blaze but say they believe it was not suspicious.
Three pumps were called to the fire and two teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus had to be deployed to enter the home and tackle the fire.
It took around four hours to bring the fire under control and fans then had to be used to clear smoke from the building.
Police remain at the scene as investigations continue.
