Man injured in Queensbury crash dies

A 20-year-old who was injured in a two vehicle crash in Queensbury has died of his injuries.

He was a passenger in a red Mini which was involved in a crash with a red Toyota Hiace at Priestley Hill on April 21 at around 3.30am

A 17-year-old Bradford girl, also in the Mini, suffered serious injuries.

The Mini’s driver, an 18-year-old Halifax man, was taken to hospital, and a passenger in the Hiace, which was operated by a private hire company, suffered facial injuries.

The 20-year-old died at Leeds General Infirmary where he had been treated since the crash.

The stretch of road was closed for four hours as fire crews from Halifax and Inllingworth attended.

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the crash to call the Major Collision Inquiry Team on 101.
