Man seriously injured in Halifax crash

A man was seriously injured in a crash in Halifax last night (Tuesday).

Emergency services were called to Godley Lane at 9pm where there had been a smash between a Ford Fiesta and an Audi S3 Quattro near the bridge.

A 64-year-old man travelling in the Audi was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious head injuries and a woman in the Ford is thought to have suffered a broken arm.

Police closed the road while emergency services worked at the scene.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles immediately beforehand. They are particularly interested in anyone who saw a blue Audi and blue BMW travelling together in and around the Halifax area before the incident.
