Morning traffic update

Round-up of traffic, trains and weather.

Traffic is slow on the M62 eastbound between J24, A629 (Ainley Top) and J27, M621 (Gildersome).

Strong winds are slowing traffic around the M62 Rakewood Viaduct between J21, A640 (Milnrow) and J22, A672 (Rishworth Moor). Matrix sign set to 50 mph.

There are no problems reported on the trains and buses.

Today’s weather will see some sunny spells, but also some heavy showers at times. Hail and thunder is possible along with windy gusts. Showers tending to ease late in the afternoon but staying very windy.

Tonight it should become mostly dry with clear spells, but cloud increasing later in the night with a band of heavy rain crossing the region.
