Hundreds of flowers, vegetables and floral artworks were displayed at the 79th Southowram Horticultural and Allotment Society Show.
Cakes, handicrafts and photos were also exhibited as more than 100 people competed to be top growers, makers, takers or bakers in a variety of categories.
Chairman of the society, Arthur Bastide, said the show at Withinfields Primary School went very well.
“It was a great success and was well represented by exhibitors and by the general public. Teachers from the school came to the show and said they were keen to get the school more involved.
“Societies like ourselves need help from younger people to keep them going. They play a key role and are needed in small communities like ours in Southowram.”
Mr Bastide would also like to thank everyone who supported the show and for the wonderful displays on show.

The next meeting of the Southowram Horticultural and Allotments Society will be on August 27 at the New Street Centre, Southowram.
