Pupils pay D-Day tribute

Year 8 pupils at North Halifax Grammar School took part in the school’s annual trip to Normandy.

Pupils laid a wreath of poppies at the British war cemetery in Bayeux.

Pupils were invited to put forward a message for the wreath, and the message by Sean Nolan (pictured) was chosen.

The note thanked soldiers for their hard work, sacrifice and bravery during the D-Day landings
