Pupils at Triangle Primary School took an audience of family and friends through a magical mystery tour of Beatles hits during two special performances.

Children aged between 7 and 11 sang hits including Let It Be, Hey Jude and Here Comes The Sun during the Beatles revival night.

Headteacher Gavin Davies said: “It was a really enjoyable event.

“There were some good performances and it was very well attended by family and friends.

“The kids looked really great in their 60s get-up and their wigs.

“One of our pupils, Martha Cowton, gave a solo on the guitar and there was a special dance performed to the song Help.

“They were thrilled to bits to be doing it and held it together really well with help from the staff.

“It was the idea of the staff generated by the fact that the children like the songs and knew a lot of the Beatles’ songs already.”
