PureGym Halifax have teamed up with Liquid Nightclub to host two events to celebrate the Tour de France passing through the town.
The first event took place on June 30 at PureGym, where a 90-minute Tour de France spin class was held. Those who took part were spurred on by a set played by a resident Liquid DJ.
The club raised a party atmosphere to celebrate the momentous occasion with goodie bags being handed out and member benefits being offered.
The second event is set to be held tonight at Liquid Nightclub between 10.40pm and 3am and will involve the PureGym team, PureGym members and local sports teams taking it in turns on two spin bikes with the aim of cycling the distance of the Yorkshire leg.
The team will be spurred on by clubbers who will be offered free entry on the night before 11.30pm.
Liz Davies, Assistant Gym Manager at PureGym Halifax, says: “The entirety of Yorkshire are so excited about the arrival of the Tour de France, we feel very privileged to have the prestigious race come through Halifax. We want to enjoy this occasion with our members by cycling and celebrating!”
