Children at Triangle House Nursery, Triangle, were in for a tweet with the arrival of 10 baby chicks.
After the eggs arrived in an incubator, the 3-4-year-olds watched the hatching process.
Nursery manager Michelle Smith, said: “The children were entranced as they watched the beaks poke through. Children have been learning about the cycle of life and how to care for animals.
“They’ve enjoyed holding the chicks whilst they’ve been living at school for two weeks.” The ten chicks will live more permanently at the nursery deputy mananger’s home.
