Linden Brook respite home were the grateful recipients of £450 raised from a fun day organised by Co-Op Travelcare.
The cheque was presented to people at the home by staff from the company.
Assistant manager Leanne Townend said: “We held the fun day in July last year at the Piece Hall, featuring stalls with toys and arts and crafts.
“There was also a performance from a local dance group and there was a DJ.
“Linden Brook is such a good cause and we thought local people would really get behind the idea, which they did.
“They were really delighted when we handed over the cheque.”
