Lloyds Banking representatives visited Northowram Primary School to help pupils plant some roots.

Banking employees helped pupils build a poly tunnel, to enable children to grow their own fruit and vegetables, and a greenhouse made from recycled bottles.

Head teacher Dan Lomas said “This is an amazing boost to our ambition of being able to produce our own food and will further encourage healthy eating in our school.”

Gavin Morton, Lloyds Business for Calderdale, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to work with and support Northowram Primary school, as the passion they have for their children and their local community is of the highest level and the feedback I have received from both my Lloyds Banking Group and BITC colleagues, it is clear this view is echoed throughout the team completing this fabulous project.”
