A teenager was arrested while trying for a reunion with his former girlfriend, a court heard.
Carl Wood, 18, had spent the evening watching the Champions League final at a pub and at 3am started banging on Fay Travis's door in William Street, Brighouse, and chanting her name.
When he refused to stop, she called police. Wood, of Castle Hill, Thornhill Road, Rastrick, admitted disturbing the peace.
Claire Larton, prosecuting, told Calderdale magistrates that when police approached Wood he was struggling to speak or stand.
Maggie Wood, on his behalf, said he and Miss Travis had split in November soon after the birth of their son.
She said: "Unfortunately it's all a bit of a blur for the defendant. He had been to watch the football match and had gone to the house with the view of spending the night with Miss Travis. Unfortunately she had other ideas."
Wood was bound over for six months in the sum of 200.
