The Chairman of Halifax Conservative Association says he feels like a new man after shedding more than five stone.
Andrew Tagg, of Free School Lane, Halifax, is entering the new year feeling confident with a zest for life like he has never felt before.
After medics in New York told Mr Tagg his weight of 21 stone 10 pounds was jeopardising his future he finally got the wake-up call he needed to do something about Cellulitis - an infection which could have cost Andrew his life.
Through Calderdale’s Healthy Weight Clinic, Mr Tagg was introduced to High Energy Gym at the Maltings College, Halifax, in February 2013.
Gym instructor Claire Fraizer put Andrew on a fitness and eating regime.
“Since then I’ve lost five stone and I feel like a different man. Losing weight has done wonders for my health and confidence - I even met my fiance, Jackie.”
Jackie, her son Adam and Andrew’s daughter Josephine all work out at High Energy Gym.
Ms Fraizer said: “It’s great that Andrew’s family have got behind him. His weight loss has been incredible - he’s worked very hard.”
