Updated: Snow to continue into tomorrow

Forecasters are predicting snow showers in Calderdale until tomorrow morning.

And it is feared with temperatures plummeting over night that there could be a risk of ice.

Police are advising motorists to be careful on the roads especially over high ground.

On Twitter Mark Pullan said: “#Denholme Road bad in #Queensbury. Just seen motorcyclist come off his bike. Take care out there.”

And Libby Normanton says: “#uksnow HX3 1/10 still.”

Kirstene Kettlewell said: “Just looked out of the window and it’s blowing a blizzard.”

Emma Shaw is warning drivers to be careful in Sowood. “Roads near Sowood/Outlane are covered and dangerous, drive safe.”

Russell Goldthorpe ‏said: “It’s being snowing now for three hours non stop. Roads a little tricky Wind picking up. #halifax #nortontower.”
