A van driver had a lucky escape this afternoon when his van caught fire in a hotel carpark.

The incident happened at the Premier Inn, Wakefield Road, Brighouse at 2.30pm when the driver of a white Peugeot Expert opened up his bonnet only to see his vehicle engulfed in flames.
