DETECTIVES investigating a stabbing want to speak to this man.

They have released the efit after a 19-year-old man was attacked on a grassed area of King Cross Street, next to Norfolk Place, Halifax. The knifeman was with a colleague. Both are described as Asian.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he has been treated and since allowed home. He is thought to have been attacked from behind and stabbed four times, including in the buttocks and shoulder.

Detective Inspector Ashley Hewitt said: “There would have been people around iat that time on Friday night. I urge anyone who saw what happened, or who recognises the man, to contact us.”

Police are appealing for anyone who recognises this man or saw the attack, at around 7.15pm on Friday, May 20, to get in touch.
