Halifax Art Society’s annual demonstration has begun with president Paul Talbot Greaves painting a landscape in watercolour.
Ten members of the group met at Oddfellows Hall in Halifax to see him produce a scene of a bridge over Rochdale Canal near Hebden Bridge.
Group member Reta Bent, said: “The painting was very free and his choice of colours brought a freshness that was breathtaking. Paul is always very generous in sharing his techniques and is never too proud to listen to any idea offered to him.”
A watercolour demonstration will be held on September 22.
