CCTV clue to girl who was grabbed

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they are trying to trace after a suspicious incident outside a Brighouse school.

An 18-year-old woman was approached by a man who chatted to her before following her and grabbing her shoulder.

The girl walked away uninjured after the incident which happened at around 11.30am on May 5.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward, including an elderly woman who was standing close to the man at a bus stop in Halifax Road.

The man is described as aged between 50 and 60, white, 5ft 11ins to 6ft, well built and with thin brown, grey hair, combed back.

He was wearing a pale yellow jacket and brown trousers.

At the time. head teacher of Brighouse High School Liz Cresswell warned pupils not to walk home alone.

Now police have stepped up patrols in the area to help provide reassurance.
