A PUBLIC meeting takes place this month to discuss a review of the district’s conservation service.
Calderdale Council aims to establish clear priorities and meet the aspirations of English Heritage.
During the last 12 months a conservation stategy has been worked up.
“We now would like to give all those with a keen interest in the historic environment the opportunity to get involved in developing the strategy,” said conservation officer Lauren Clarkson.
A consultation on the strategy is running until September 9 and a feedback questionnaire is available on line at www.calderdale.gov.uk/environment
The public meeting will be held at Halifax Town Hall on August 23, at 6 pm when there will be a presentation and opportunity for discussion.
Once finalised a three-year action plan will be used to implement the strategy.
