One of the biggest charity events of the Halifax calendar is back with a bigger and better line up than previous years.
People will be able to enjoy a fun-filled day at the 58th annual Halifax Charity Gala on June 14 at Manor Heath Park.
The main stage will play host to local dance group Bazzmatazz and Rudi Wallenda and his comedy car, as well as entertainment being provided by Total Awareness Promotions.
A living re-enactment village will be on display at the bottom of the field, as Escafeld bring insight from the past.
Other activities that are on during the day include go karting, fairground, donkey rides, baby show, charity stalls and a wide range of refreshments
The event raises around £25,000 for more than 50 local charities and it attracts over 15.000 visitors.
The official opening of the gala will be at 1.00pm.
Tickets are available before the event for a discounted rate from www.halifaxgala.org.uk and from the library at the Halifax Visitors Centre.
Admission on the day is £2 for adults, £1 for children and £5 for a family ticket.
The Committee , Halifax Gala, that organise the gala are looking for new volunteers to help out on the day and with organising future events.
Lee Gething, chairman of the organising committee, said: “We are also keen to set up relationships with local businesses who are interested in sponsoring the Gala or supporting in other ways so that we can continue to providethis major event for the people of Calderdale.”
