A fashion show raised £800 for charity and launched a new business.

Royle Event Management and Promotion was kicked off in style at the Borden Rooms, Todmorden, with a catwalk show featuring more than 40 models. The event also raised cash for Epilepsy Action.

Managing director Jo Royle – the sister of the late Sarah Royle, who died in Singapore last year – wanted to use her company’s launch to raise money for a cause which affects her friend’s son.

Joanne and Joel Booth’s son Jake suffers from epilepsy. Mr Booth spoke about the condition at the fashion show.

Jo Royle said: “It was a huge success and could not have gone any better. The atmosphere was electric.”
