Chill out...Winterfest delivers two live gigs

The finishing touches are now being added to this evening’s live Winterfest gig - the first of two at Arden Road Social Club in Halifax (doors 6.30pm).

Calderdale College’s music department is showcasing highly talented musicians, bands, DJs and producers from the local area.

Level 3 Music and Music Technology students will be performing an eclectic mix of music from rock and acoustic through to electro and house.

Jacob Beckley, Level 3 Music Performance student said: “People can expect a night of great entertainment and highly talented live bands that play original music with a friendly lively environment to match.”

Merchandise will also be on sale for those who want to purchase an array of band/DJ memorabilia.

The second gig will be on Monday (doors 6.30pm). Tickets to each gig cost £4.

Tonight’s line up is: Major Minor Problem, Split Ends, Tom Grimshaw, Burn-Ned, Just us, Dystortz, Lewsers, Louis and the Ladies, The Brigantes and Oli Stock. On Monday the performers will be: Darwyn, Petula and Adam, Sam Billington, The Giant Inflatables, DJ Danny Meakin, Three Makes a Crowd, Tom Hughes, Sinweaver, Adam Stocks and Airstill.
