Pupils in Elland indulged a sweet tooth during a chocolate-making class.
The two-hour session was the final one of three parent workshops held at Elland C of E school.
The classes, which have previously included a circus day and a series of science experiments, were designed to help parents to interact more with their children.
The session required children to make their own chocolate bar using a range of ingredients like marshmallows, strawberries and chocolate drops.
Then, in a Dragon’s Den-style twist, they had to design a wrapper for the product and hold a sales pitch in front of the other groups to convince the judge that their product was the best.
The judge was Hayley Walker, learning mentor at the school, who said the chocolate dream class had been particularly well received by the parents.
“The children really enjoyed all the classes but this one really helped the interaction,” she said.
“Our pupils like practical exercises so this was ideal for them.”
The school will hold another series of parent workshops after Easter.
