Halifax’s christmas lights are already being put up - nine weeks before christmas.

Decorations are already adorning Commercial Street in Halifax town centre, despite light switch on celebrations being more than one month away.

The Halifax and Brighouse christmas lights will be switched on on November 29.

Hebden Bridge will be lit up on November 20, with Mytholmroyd following a day later on November 21.

The christmas lights in Bailiff Bridge will be switched on on December 5, and Todmorden and Warley’s lights will be switched on December 6.
