Past pupils of a Halifax high school are being invited to a reunion.

Former North Halifax High School student, Adrian Hollands, has organised the event after trying to trace former friends from the school’s class of 1985 .

The year group was the first to start at the newly formed high school following the merger of Princess Mary’s and Highlands.

He said: “I decided to create a Facebook group called the North Halifax High School Class of ’85 and added the few school friends I already had to the group and wondered what would, if anything, happen.

“A few hours later I was sat

reading message upon message from people I hadn’t heard from, let alone seen, for well over 20 years.

“During the conversations we discussed arranging a reunion to mark 30 years since we started and now after month of deliberating we have booked a venue.”

The reunion will take place from 7.30pm on Friday, September 11 at 53 Degrees North, Dean Clough. Any teachers who taught during the late 80s including the former headmistress Mrs Crawley, are also welcome to attend.
