A new collaborative exhibition curated by ARTbound Community and Creative Calderdale called Tra-Digital will showcase the vast differences between traditional and digital methods of creating art.

The idea behind this project is to highlight the main similarities and differences between traditional painting and digital art techniques, visually explaining the processes in which the artist undergoes to reach their finished creation.

Tra-Digital will launch at 6pm on Thursday, June 11 at The Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre in Halifax.

The opening event will include a one-off screening of Made You Look, a documentary film created by the Look and Yes collective in London about the UK DIY graphic arts scene emphasising creativity in a digital art age.

Made you Look will start at 6.30pm. Tickets are £10; this includes pizza, wine and beer for a UK Art Scene style movie-night.

The event will also feature a Q&A session with the film’s director, producer and contributors.

The exhibition is free to attend for visitors wanting to come and view the Tra-Digital exhibition onlybetween 6pm and 9pm.
