Colourful new vestments give Minster a make over

These are the bright and colourful vestments that have been specially designed to give Halifax Minster a new look.

Artist Graeme Willson hand painted the designs and they were brought to life by designer Juliet Hemingray.
Graeme said: “The reds, greens and blues are quite vivid, then there’s the golds for Easter and Christmas and the Lenten grey all interspersed with strips of hand painted silk.”
Rev Canon Hilary Barber said: “It is about change and continuity and taking the Minster forward into the 21st century.”
